Why run Veeam backup in the Antyxsoft Cloud

A second site without a second data centre: offsite, immutable and independent of the infrastructure it protects.

Immutable by default

Backup copies are written with a locked retention period, so ransomware and stolen admin credentials cannot delete them.

Keep your Veeam console

Add Antyxsoft as a cloud repository in the Veeam Backup & Replication you already operate — no new tooling to learn.

Failover, not just restore

DRaaS keeps replicas of critical machines warm in our cloud so services can be brought up while the primary site is still down.

EU data residency

Data stays in European Antyxsoft data centres, encrypted in transit and at rest, with the region named in your agreement.

Predictable per-TiB pricing

Priced on protected capacity, with no charge for the restore traffic you hope you never need.

Tested restores

Recovery verification and scheduled DR tests, so the plan is proven before the day it matters.

Offsite backup

A cloud backup repository your Veeam server can reach today

Connect your existing Veeam Backup & Replication installation to Antyxsoft over an encrypted, bandwidth-controlled channel and run backup copy jobs offsite on your own schedule. Local restores stay fast, the offsite copy satisfies the third leg of 3-2-1, and the repository is outside the blast radius of your production environment.
Encrypted transport with WAN acceleration and traffic throttling
Backup copy and GFS retention chains managed from your console
No VPN or public exposure of the backup infrastructure

Ransomware resilience

Copies that cannot be deleted, encrypted or re-dated

Choose an immutability window per job and the platform enforces it — during that period nothing removes or rewrites those restore points, including an attacker holding your domain administrator password. That is the extra "1" in 3-2-1-1-0, and it is the difference between an incident and an outage.
Per-job immutability windows from days to months
Insider-protection delay before deleted data is really gone
Separate credentials and tenancy from your production estate
Immutability settings on a Veeam backup job: a 30-day locked retention window with delete and re-date attempts denied.
DRaaS

Disaster recovery you can rehearse without stopping the business

Replicate critical virtual machines into Antyxsoft Cloud and agree an RPO and RTO per workload. Failover brings the replicas up in an isolated network with your addressing preserved; failback returns them once the primary site is healthy. Partial failover tests run in a sandbox, so the runbook is verified on a normal Tuesday rather than during the incident.
Per-workload RPO and RTO targets in the service agreement
Isolated test failover that never touches production traffic
Failover networking on top of Antyxsoft VPC (see Virtual Private Cloud)

Continuous data protection

Seconds of data loss instead of hours: Veeam CDP

Scheduled replication puts your recovery point at the last cycle. Continuous Data Protection removes the schedule altogether: every write to a protected machine is streamed to Antyxsoft as it happens, giving recovery points measured in seconds for the workloads where an hour of lost transactions is not survivable.

VMware vSphere

Veeam CDP

Agentless replication driven by VMware's I/O filter (VAIO): the filter intercepts each write on the source datastore and ships it to a replica held in the Antyxsoft Cloud. No snapshots, so there is no stun on the production VM and no snapshot chain to consolidate.

RPO configurable from seconds upward
Short-term and long-term retention points to roll back to
Crash-consistent continuously, application-consistent on schedule
Beyond vSphere

Universal CDP

The same continuous model without the dependency on a VMware I/O filter — change tracking runs inside the protected machine, so Hyper-V guests, physical servers and cloud instances get near-continuous replication too. One CDP policy across a mixed estate rather than one product per hypervisor.

CDP complements backup rather than replacing it — the continuous replica covers the last seconds, the immutable backup chain covers the last months. Most environments run both, with CDP scoped to the handful of machines that justify the bandwidth.

What you can protect

One backup platform across the virtual, physical and SaaS parts of the estate.

VMware vSphere

Image-level VM backup and replication, application-aware processing for SQL Server and Active Directory.

Microsoft Hyper-V

Cluster-aware backup of Hyper-V hosts with the same retention and immutability options.

Physical servers & endpoints

Windows and Linux agents for bare-metal servers, workstations and machines that never got virtualised.

Microsoft 365

Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams data kept in a copy Microsoft's retention policy cannot expire.

NAS & file shares

SMB and NFS shares with file-level restore, versioning and long-term archive tiers.

Antyxsoft Cloud instances

Protect Cloud Compute workloads and their Block Storage volumes in the same policy set.
Microsoft 365 backup

Microsoft runs the service. The data is still your responsibility.

Microsoft's shared responsibility model covers infrastructure uptime, not your content. Retention policies expire, recycle bins empty on a timer, and a deletion — accidental, malicious or scripted by ransomware — propagates to every synced device. Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365, hosted by Antyxsoft, keeps an independent copy under your own retention rules.

What the native tools do not cover

Retention gaps. Deleted-item recovery and retention policies are time-boxed; once the window passes the item is gone regardless of plan.
Leavers. When a licence is removed the mailbox and OneDrive content go with it unless someone remembered to archive first.
Ransomware in the sync client. Encrypted files sync up to SharePoint and OneDrive like any other change.
Legal hold is not backup. Holds preserve for discovery; they do not give you a point-in-time restore of a site or a mailbox.
Tenant lock-out. If access to the tenant itself is lost, so is everything inside it — an external copy is the only way back.

What gets protected

Exchange Online
User mailboxes, shared and archive mailboxes, calendars, contacts and in-place archives.
SharePoint Online
Sites, document libraries, lists, metadata, permissions and version history.
OneDrive for Business
Every user's files and folders with their sharing configuration intact.
Microsoft Teams
Channel conversations, tabs, files and the underlying team sites, restored as a working team.

Item-level restore

Search across backups and put back a single mail, a file version, a list item or a whole site — in place, to another user, or exported to PST.

Your retention, not Microsoft's

Set the retention period the business or the regulator asks for — years, not the default recycle-bin window — and keep it after licences are removed.

Immutable copies in the EU

Backups land in Antyxsoft object storage with an immutability window, outside the tenant an attacker would compromise.

Per-user, per-month

Priced on protected users with the Veeam licence included; add or remove seats as the tenant changes.

Setup
Register a modern-authentication app in your tenant, grant the backup scopes, pick the objects to protect. Typically under an hour.
Schedule
Incremental jobs several times a day, with the first full backup throttled so it does not trip Microsoft's throttling limits.
Reporting
Per-job success reports and protected-object counts, monthly, for whoever signs off the DR statement.

Priced on what you protect

Backup capacity, retention length and DR replicas are quoted per environment — tell us the estate and we will size it. No licence to buy separately, no charge for restores.

Where teams put it to work

Backup that has to survive the event it was bought for.

Ransomware

A clean copy after an attack

Immutable, offsite restore points in a separate tenancy — recovery instead of negotiation.
Second site

DR without a second data centre

Replace the idle standby rack with replicas you only pay to run when you need them.
Compliance

Audited retention

Documented retention, EU residency and DR test evidence for auditors and insurers.
Service providers

Backup you can resell

Per-tenant isolation and reporting for MSPs protecting client estates — see the partner programme.

Frequently asked questions about Veeam backup and DRaaS

What is Veeam Backup as a Service from Antyxsoft?

A managed offsite backup target and disaster recovery service built on Veeam technology and hosted in the Antyxsoft Cloud. Keep your own Veeam Backup & Replication console and send copies to us, or have Antyxsoft operate the whole backup platform — the knowledge base covers both models.

Which workloads can I back up?

VMware vSphere and Hyper-V virtual machines, physical Windows and Linux servers and endpoints, NAS and file shares, Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams) and Antyxsoft Cloud instances with their Block Storage volumes.

How does immutable backup protect against ransomware?

Restore points are written with a locked retention window. For that period nothing can delete, encrypt or re-date them — not the backup operator, and not an attacker holding domain administrator credentials.

What is DRaaS and how fast can I fail over?

Critical machines are replicated into Antyxsoft Cloud and kept warm. RPO and RTO are agreed per workload in the service agreement; failover brings replicas up in an isolated network with your addressing preserved, and failback returns them when the primary site is healthy.

What is the difference between Veeam CDP and Universal CDP?

Veeam CDP uses VMware's I/O filter, so it is agentless and snapshot-free on vSphere. Universal CDP tracks changes inside the protected machine instead, which extends near-continuous replication to Hyper-V, physical servers and cloud instances.

Do I still need to back up Microsoft 365 if Microsoft replicates my data?

Yes. Replication protects the service, not your content: retention windows expire, removing a licence removes the data with it, and encrypted files sync upward like any other change. An independent copy under your own retention is the only reliable restore path.

Where is my backup data stored?

In European Antyxsoft data centres, encrypted in transit and at rest, with the region named in your agreement.
