What WordPress gives you

WordPress is the open-source content management system behind a large share of the web. It began as a blogging platform and grew into a general-purpose CMS: pages, posts, media, custom content types, user roles and a plugin ecosystem that covers everything from SEO to full e-commerce.

On the Antyxsoft Marketplace image it arrives with the web server, PHP and MySQL already configured and tuned, so the first thing you do is create your administrator account — not compile a stack.

Key features

  • Editor and dashboard. Block-based editing and a familiar admin area, usable by people who will never open a terminal.
  • Themes and customisation. Thousands of free and commercial themes, or your own — the look is not locked to the platform.
  • Plugins. SEO, forms, caching, membership, multilingual and WooCommerce for selling — installed from the dashboard.
  • Roles and permissions. Administrators, editors, authors and contributors, so a content team can work without shared credentials.
  • Search and structure. Clean permalinks, sitemaps and responsive themes — the technical groundwork search engines expect.
  • Community. Documentation, forums and a very large developer pool — help is rarely more than a search away.

Getting started

Four steps from sign-in to a running application. The full walkthrough, with screenshots, is in the knowledge base.

  1. 01
Log in to the Cloud Portal

Sign in at portal.antyxsoft.io and start creating an instance, choosing the region closest to your users.

  2. 02
At Select Template, open Marketplace App

In the instance creation flow, switch from operating-system images to the Marketplace App tab.

  3. 03
    Pick the template and deploy

Select the ready-to-go template, confirm the plan and region, then review and deploy. The instance boots with the application installed.

  4. 04
    Finish the application setup

Open the instance address in a browser, create the administrator account, then point your domain at the instance and issue a TLS certificate.

Before it carries real traffic

  • Attach a Cloud Firewall that opens only the ports this application needs, with management access limited to your own addresses.
  • Schedule backups covering both the database and the application's data directory.
  • Add a Block Storage volume for data that will outgrow the instance disk.
  • Put it inside a VPC when it needs private access to other services.

Support

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to deploy WordPress?
The instance boots with WordPress already installed, usually in a couple of minutes. You then open the server address in a browser and complete the setup wizard — site title, administrator account and language.
Is this managed WordPress hosting?
The image is preconfigured and supported by Antyxsoft, but the instance is entirely yours: root access, your own plugins and themes, your own update schedule. Antyxsoft supports the image and the infrastructure beneath it.
Does WordPress cost extra on the Marketplace?
No. WordPress is open source and the image carries no licence fee — you pay only for the compute instance, storage and bandwidth it uses.
Which instance size should I choose for WordPress?
A small instance with two virtual CPUs and 4 GB of memory comfortably runs a brochure site or a blog. Busy stores and heavy plugin sets benefit from more memory and a block storage volume for media; instances can be resized as traffic grows.

Publish today, not next week

Deploy the WordPress image on an instance in the region you need, and spend the afternoon on content instead of on a LAMP stack.
