What FortiGate gives you

FortiGate is Fortinet next-generation firewall, running the FortiOS policy model that many network teams already operate on-premise. It combines stateful filtering with intrusion prevention, application identification, web filtering and VPN termination in one policy engine.

Running it as an instance means the cloud half of a hybrid estate is governed by the same rules, objects and conventions as the office half — no second mental model.

Key features

  • Unified policy. One rule set covering addresses, applications, users and services.
  • Intrusion prevention. IPS signatures applied per policy, with logging attached.
  • SSL inspection. Inspect encrypted traffic where policy and law allow.
  • IPsec and SSL VPN. Site-to-site tunnels and remote access from the same appliance.
  • Familiar operations. FortiOS CLI and GUI, consistent with on-premise units.

What is in the image

ApplicationPreconfigured FortiGate image (FortiOS)
AccessWeb and CLI administration; licence applied at first boot
NetworkingInterfaces mapped to your VPC networks
Suggested sizeFrom 4 vCPU / 8 GB RAM; scale with inspected throughput

Good fit for

  • Hybrid estates Same FortiOS policy in the office and in the cloud.
  • Regulated workloads Documented inspection and logging at the perimeter.
  • Segmentation Enforce boundaries between tiers inside your VPC.

Getting started

Four steps from sign-in to a running application. The full walkthrough, with screenshots, is in the knowledge base.

  1. 01
Log in to the Cloud Portal

Sign in at portal.antyxsoft.io and start creating an instance, choosing the region closest to your users.

  2. 02
At Select Template, open Marketplace App

In the instance creation flow, switch from operating-system images to the Marketplace App tab.

  3. 03
    Pick the template and deploy

Select the ready-to-go template, confirm the plan and region, then review and deploy. The instance boots with the application installed.

  4. 04
    Finish the application setup

Open the console, apply your Fortinet licence, then configure interfaces, zones and the first policies before moving workloads behind the firewall.

Before it carries real traffic

  • Attach a Cloud Firewall that opens only the ports this application needs, with management access limited to your own addresses.
  • Schedule backups covering both the database and the application's data directory.
  • Add a Block Storage volume for data that will outgrow the instance disk.
  • Put it inside a VPC when it needs private access to other services.

Support

Antyxsoft supports the image and the infrastructure it runs on. Application-level questions are also covered by the upstream project's own documentation and community.

What is covered

Antyxsoft covers

The image itself, deployment problems, the instance, storage, network and platform availability.

You control

Configuration, add-ons, content, application updates and anything you change inside the guest.

Need it managed?

Ask about managed operations — updates, monitoring and backup handled for you.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a Fortinet licence?
Yes — a FortiGate licence is required, applied after deployment. It can be your own or arranged through Antyxsoft.
Is the policy model the same as our on-premise units?
Yes. It is FortiOS, so the objects, policies and CLI your network team already knows apply unchanged to the cloud side of the estate.
Can it inspect encrypted traffic?
Yes, where your policy and local law allow it. SSL inspection is configured per policy rather than globally.

The same policy, on both sides

Deploy FortiGate in your Antyxsoft region and govern cloud traffic with the FortiOS rules your team already runs.
