What Elasticsearch gives you

Elasticsearch is a distributed search and analytics engine. It indexes documents into inverted indexes, which is what makes full-text queries with typo tolerance, faceting and relevance ranking fast enough to sit in front of a user.

The same engine is the backbone of most self-hosted log platforms: high-volume ingestion, time-based indices and aggregations over hundreds of millions of events.

Key features

  • Full-text search. Analysers, fuzziness, synonyms and relevance scoring.
  • Aggregations. Faceting, histograms and statistics computed at query time.
  • Scale-out. Sharding and replication across nodes as volume grows.
  • Log analytics. Time-based indices with lifecycle policies for retention.
  • REST API. Straightforward integration from any language.

What is in the image

ApplicationRecent stable Elasticsearch release
ConfigurationJVM heap and security settings preconfigured
AccessREST API on the instance address; root over SSH
Suggested sizeFrom 4 vCPU / 8 GB RAM; add block storage for indices

Good fit for

  • Product search Search-as-you-type over catalogues and content.
  • Log platforms Centralised logs with fast querying and dashboards.
  • Data residency Indexed customer content kept inside your region.

Getting started

Four steps from sign-in to a running application. The full walkthrough, with screenshots, is in the knowledge base.

  1. 01
Log in to the Cloud Portal

Sign in at portal.antyxsoft.io and start creating an instance, choosing the region closest to your users.

  2. 02
At Select Template, open Marketplace App

In the instance creation flow, switch from operating-system images to the Marketplace App tab.

  3. 03
    Pick the template and deploy

Select the ready-to-go template, confirm the plan and region, then review and deploy. The instance boots with the application installed.

  4. 04
    Finish the application setup

Set credentials, restrict the API to your private network, then create your first index and mapping.

Before it carries real traffic

  • Attach a Cloud Firewall that opens only the ports this application needs, with management access limited to your own addresses.
  • Schedule backups covering both the database and the application's data directory.
  • Add a Block Storage volume for data that will outgrow the instance disk.
  • Put it inside a VPC when it needs private access to other services.

Support

Antyxsoft supports the image and the infrastructure it runs on. Application-level questions are also covered by the upstream project's own documentation and community.

What is covered

Antyxsoft covers

The image itself, deployment problems, the instance, storage, network and platform availability.

You control

Configuration, add-ons, content, application updates and anything you change inside the guest.

Need it managed?

Ask about managed operations — updates, monitoring and backup handled for you.

Frequently asked questions

What size instance does Elasticsearch need?
Start at four virtual CPUs and 8 GB of memory — the JVM heap wants headroom — and attach block storage for indices, which grow faster than most people expect.
Can I use it for log analytics?
Yes. Time-based indices with lifecycle policies are the standard pattern for centralised logs, and the same cluster can serve product search.
Is it clustered?
A single instance is fine to start. Add nodes inside your VPC and let sharding and replication distribute the indices as volume grows.

Search that scales on flat pricing

Deploy Elasticsearch in your region and index as much as the volume needs, with unmetered traffic around it.
