What 3CX gives you

3CX is a software-based PBX that replaces traditional phone hardware with a system you manage from a browser. It covers the whole communications stack for a business: extensions and call routing, queues and IVR, video meetings, website live chat and integration with the CRM your sales team already uses.

The Antyxsoft image is preconfigured, so the work that usually goes into installing and hardening a PBX is already done — you connect a SIP trunk, create extensions, and provision phones or softphones.

Key features

  • VoIP calling. Extensions, call queues, ring groups and IVR menus across one or many office locations.
  • Softphones and mobile. Windows, macOS, iOS and Android clients, plus support for standards-based IP desk phones.
  • Video and chat. WebMeeting video conferencing and website live chat handled by the same agents as calls.
  • Call recording and reports. Recording, queue statistics and call reporting for quality and compliance review.
  • CRM integration. Click-to-dial and screen pop-ups from the CRM, so calls are logged without manual entry.
  • Management console. Full control of trunks, extensions, routing and updates from the web interface.

Getting started

Four steps from sign-in to a running application. The full walkthrough, with screenshots, is in the knowledge base.

  1. 01
Log in to the Cloud Portal

Sign in at portal.antyxsoft.io and start creating an instance, choosing the region closest to your users.

  2. 02
At Select Template, open Marketplace App

In the instance creation flow, switch from operating-system images to the Marketplace App tab.

  3. 03
    Pick the template and deploy

Select the ready-to-go template, confirm the plan and region, then review and deploy. The instance boots with the application installed.

  4. 04
    Finish the application setup

Open the 3CX management console on the instance, complete the setup wizard with your licence key and FQDN, then add your SIP trunk and extensions.

Before it carries real traffic

  • Attach a Cloud Firewall that opens only the ports this application needs, with management access limited to your own addresses.
  • Schedule backups covering both the database and the application's data directory.
  • Add a Block Storage volume for data that will outgrow the instance disk.
  • Put it inside a VPC when it needs private access to other services.

Support

Antyxsoft supports the image and the infrastructure it runs on. Application-level questions are also covered by the upstream project's own documentation and community.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need my own 3CX licence?
3CX is commercial software, so a licence key is required. You can bring your own or arrange one through Antyxsoft — the cloud instance cost is separate from the 3CX subscription.
Which version is deployed?
The image installs 3CX v20 on Debian 12, with the standard web management console for trunks, extensions and routing.
What does the PBX need in terms of firewall rules?
SIP and RTP ports for your trunk and endpoints, plus HTTPS for the console and clients. Use a Cloud Firewall to restrict management access to your own addresses and open only the media ports your provider requires.
How many concurrent calls can one instance handle?
Concurrency depends on codec, recording and instance size. Two virtual CPUs and 4 GB of memory suit a small office; add resources for heavy recording, transcoding or large queues — the instance can be resized.

Put the phone system in the cloud

Deploy 3CX on an instance in the region closest to your users, connect a SIP trunk, and retire the box in the comms cupboard.
